Network Rail Property is a national landowner with a wide portfolio of properties either in railway arches or adjoining railway stations. We have acted on their behalf in the rent reviews of public houses, restaurants and wine bars throughout London in locations such as Kilburn, Fenchurch Street, Blackfriars, London Bridge and Waterloo.  

We were instructed by Network Rail, the Landlord, in 2009/2010 to act on its behalf in the rent review of Jack’s Bar, Thai Silk Restaurant and EV bar (TAS) in Waterloo.  

In all three rent reviews we attained increases on the passing rent. It not being possible to agree the revised rent on EV Bar, we had to refer it to Arbitration and were awarded a 13% increase.  

These good results in a difficult economic climate gave our client a good evidence base to work from for Network Rail’s forthcoming SE1 rent reviews and lease renewals.
